I've made a small update to the SEO functionality of my WordPress theme. I added a checkbox option to include the page, post or portfolio in the website's sitemap. The sitemap is drawn dynamically, and updated everytime a relevant post is added or edited.
I've also added the capability to render the sitemap to an xml file.
The sitemap can also be added to a custom page with some shortcode. This uses the same arguments to render the page dynamically. So if you want to check on your xml file, just go to your sitemap page. They pretty much do the same thing.
It's only a small feature, but one that can have positive implications for search engines, which in turn benefits the site.
